Assessment of Water Demand in Al-Anbar Province- Iraq

The water issue has posed a great challenge in the past twenty years most Arab countries, including Iraq particular, due to establishment of many dams by Turkey, which led decrease annual rate resources and non-compliance with international law trans-boundary management. west is considered as an arid region suffers scarcity rain, severe drought seriously affected terms quality quantity. In this study, numerical model management for Euphrates River applied using Water Evaluation And Planning (WEAP). Anbar Province selected apply model, order assess trends simulate current demand scenarios must be known decision-makers managers, namely reference scenario tax scenario. results showed that (2040) will 2819.35 million cubic meters per year while corresponding other 2639.54 year, amounts 179.81 saving can exploited.
